187 people died in heavy rains and flash floods in Pakistan

 

At least 187 people have died in various parts of Pakistan due to heavy rains and flash floods that started in July. At least 333 people were injured during this time.

Pakistan's National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) gave this information in a report on Saturday. Among the dead were 96 children and 30 women.

According to the report of NDMA, 68 people died in the eastern Punjab province of the country due to floods. Apart from this, 65 and 32 people died in northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and southern Sindh provinces respectively. In addition, 13 people died in the southwestern province of Balochistan, five in Pakistan-controlled Kashmir and four in the northern Gilgit-Baltistan region.

During this time 352 cattle died. Apart from this, NDMA also mentioned that 2 thousand 293 houses and 30 bridges were damaged in the flood.
