Inter 0-2 Al Ittihad: Diaby Strikes Twice to Defeat Nerazzurri

Moussa Diaby continued his impressive form at Al Ittihad by scoring his third goal in four games during their victory over Inter on Italian soil.

Moussa Diaby scored twice to lead Al Ittihad to a 2-0 victory over Inter at the U-Power Stadium on Wednesday.

Diaby's goals came either side of halftime, securing the win against the Serie A champions. He now has three goals in his first four matches since joining Al Ittihad from Aston Villa.

This defeat marks Inter's first of the pre-season, with Simone Inzaghi's team set to wrap up their preparations for the new campaign with a match against Chelsea this weekend.

After a sluggish start, Al Ittihad took the lead in the 25th minute when Diaby, assisted by Houssem Aouar, fired past Yann Sommer.

Although Inter managed seven shots compared to Al Ittihad's four in the first half, they fell further behind just two minutes into the second half. A loose pass from Alessandro Bastoni led to Ahmed Al Ghamdi’s effort being saved by Sommer, with Diaby scoring on the rebound.

Milan improved their attacking play but failed to challenge Predrag Rajkovic, allowing Laurent Blanc’s side to secure the win in Italy.

**Data Debrief: Diaby Delivers**

Following six goals in 38 Premier League appearances for Aston Villa, Diaby has already matched half that total in his first four games for Al Ittihad.

The Frenchman excelled against Inter, leading with the most shots (three) and shots on target (two). His expected goals (xG) tally of 0.24 was only surpassed by Benzema, who had an xG of 0.55.
