'Big B' Amitabh Bachchan shook the screen for the first time in Bollywood as 'Don'. 'Don' starring Amitabh was released in 1978. After that, director Farhan Akhtar bought the 'Don' franchise and made a movie with the same name with Shahrukh Khan in 2006. After the commercial success, in 2011, 'Don 2' appeared again in this role. The next movie of this franchise is 'Don 3'. Actor Ranveer Singh is going to replace Shahrukh Khan there. As much as many appreciated the inclusion of Ranveer Singh, Shahrukh-fans couldn't accept 'Don' without the king of Bollywood. But do you know, Shah Rukh was not the first choice for the role of Don!
Now Farhan Akhtar brought forward a new information about 'Don'. Said, Hrithik Roshan was initially chosen for the role of Don, not Shah Rukh. He was thinking of the plot keeping the actor in mind. Farhan even promised to cast Hrithik in the film. But then why did he cast Shah Rukh Khan? Recently, Farhan opened up about this in Raj Shamani's podcast.
Farhan Akhtar said, 'I promised Hrithik that I will bring it to him once the writing is done. But when I started writing it, one person's face kept popping up in my head, Shah Rukh Khan.'
Despite his promise, Farhan wants to know Hrithik's opinion about taking Shah Rukh. Remembering the memory of that day, Farhan said, 'I will never forget that day, hearing that, Hrithik told me, "Farhan, you have to make your movie with the best." If you think he is the guy, please go ahead and call him. Don't worry about me.”
In 2011, Hrithik gave a cameo in Don 2. Apart from this, Hrithik and Farhan have worked together in the movies 'Luck By Chance' and 'Zindegi Na Milegi Dobara'.
